Problems with conventional AC units and lack of fresh air
Summer is in high gear: bright sun, holidays, barbecues and… humidity. Whether at home, at the office, in a store, at the gym or elsewhere, the most popular method for cooling is air conditioning.
Just imagine: you’ve set your AC at a comfortable temperature of 18-23 °C and then you keep yourself busy for the new few hours without giving any thought to how the air around you has deteriorated after all of your inhaling and exhaling. After a few hours of air conditioning, you’ll automatically feel the need to open a window and fill the room with fresh air. This is a natural response to stale air. The problem with using air conditioners is that the air in the room is never replaced: the air conditioner simply cools the air and circulates it around the room. The filter in the air conditioner is soon contaminated with dust, pollen and bacteria. After a while, you’ll start to feel the symptoms of less oxygen and more carbon dioxide in the air: dizziness, headache and laboured breathing. The next step is to open the window. This lets in fresh air, but at the expense of letting in heat and losing the comfortable temperature.
This approach is very inefficient and wasteful. Conventional domestic air conditioners consume 2-4 kW * hour. Every time you open a window, you create a situation where the air conditioner has to work harder, putting a bigger load on the power grid and increasing your electricity bill. In fact, running an air conditioner while your windows are open can cause it to break down. So how can you save on air conditioning costs in the summer?
Prana recuperator/ventilation units utilise an innovative system of sensors to monitor, correct and control the airflow in any indoor environment. These sensors are capable of detecting changes in atmospheric pressure, temperature, air quality, CO2 build-up and humidity, enabling Prana to easily outperform rival systems on the market.
The solution to this problem is ensuring suitable ventilation by supplying fresh air and removing stale air (exhaust). Unlike an air conditioner, which merely cools the air, the Prana recuperator creates a comfortable microclimate in the room, delivering an appropriate humidity level, ensuring a supply of oxygen-rich air and removing stale air (i.e. air with a high CO2 content). Running a Prana recuperator simultaneously with an air conditioner enables fresh outdoor air to be supplied to the room. The Prana unit is extremely efficient, boasting a coefficient of performance of up to 92%, while consuming just 6-32 W/h, helping to save far more power than it uses. No need to ever open the windows again! Outside air will enter the room as required at any particular time, while the temperature inside remains virtually unchanged. Prana achieves this by using multiple onboard sensors to monitor and adapt the current airflow in line with any changes in air quality. This is done automatically and does not require any human input – but it can be changed by the user at any time.
Air is like food and lifestyle: it has a direct impact on our health and well-being. We are ready to help you eliminate all the negative effects caused by insufficient ventilation at home and work, you, your family and/or your colleagues spend the day.

Prana mechanical ventilation systems with high-efficiency heat recovery
► Innovative ventilation systems
► Internal energy recuperation
► Manages humidity and CO2 levels
Prana recuperator/ventilation units not only ventilate rooms and spaces, but also provide a sufficient amount of preheated outdoor air saturated with oxygen and natural ions. Incoming and outgoing airflows pass through a copper heat exchanger inside the unit, where they are kept separate from each other at all times, both inside the unit and at the input/output. In the Prana ventilation system, as warm exhaust air is removed from the room, it heats up the fresh cold air entering from the outside. In summer, the opposite is true: as cool air is removed from the room, it cools down warm air entering from the outside.
Prana recuperator/ventilations units utilise an innovative system of sensors to monitor, correct and control the airflow in any indoor environment. These sensors can detect changes in atmospheric pressure, temperature, air quality, CO2 build-up and humidity, enabling Prana to easily outperform rival systems on the market.
Are you sleeping, but not getting enough rest? Feeling tired? Suffering from allergies or headaches?
Insufficient fresh air and excessive humidity are the source of many problems in the home, including condensation on windows, fungus and mould .
Treat the cause, not the symptoms!
Prana recuperators are unique, reliable and could well be the best solution for you! They utilise sensors to monitor CO2, humidity and air quality while a counterflow copper heat exchanger cleans and replenishes your air – creating your ideal indoor microclimate. The copper, a natural antiseptic, decontaminates the air, removing viral, bacterial and fungal spores. The Prana system is compact, quickly installed and can be controlled from your smartphone. Once it’s up and running, it will help you get a good night’s sleep, protect you from allergens and keep you supplied at all times with plenty of fresh air. Prana truly delivers!
Breathe cleanly!
